Practical Advice for the Journey
Have you ever considered that your day-to-day struggles are, at their core, timeless and universal? Though your challenges are deeply personal, they are also deeply human, and God has provided workable solutions for you through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.
Walking with Purpose would like to help you enjoy a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, nurtured through personal Bible study and small group discussions created just for women. Walking with Purpose is a women's discussion, faith-sharing, and Bible study community at St. Matthew the Apostle. All adult women at any stage of life are welcome to join us!
In 2024-2025, the Wednesday morning group will continue Walking with Purpose Bible Studies as in past years, meeting on Wednesday mornings, 9:30 am-11:00 am. Participants new to Walking with Purpose may be using the foundational study Opening Your Heart. Returning participants will be studying Ordering Your Priorities and Passionate Discipleship.
The Thursday evening group (still meeting 7:00-8:30pm) is changing things up a little bit and using Be Still: 365-Day Devotional to Quiet Your Heart, written by Walking with Purpose’s founder Lisa Brenninkmeyer. Each week will center on a specific excerpt from Be Still and consist of reflection and discussion on the excerpt and additional, supplemental material that focuses on a monthly theme.
If you have questions about the Wednesday morning study, please contact Pat Shields at [email protected]. If you have questions about the Thursday evening study, please contact Sara Largmann at [email protected].
