St. Matthew - School StudentsSt. Matthew School
- Students in our St. Matthew school will complete their confirmation preparations in religion class.
- Our Confirmation program is called CHOSEN. It has a total of 24 lessons. In 7th grade, students will start preparing for confirmation. They will complete the first 12 lessons of the CHOSEN program in religion class.
- 8th grade students will complete the final 12 lessons of the CHOSEN program in religion class.
- 8th graders must also attened the scheduled connect nights and attened the required confirmation retreat.
- 8th graders must find a sponsor and have their sponosr fill out a form.
- 8th graders must also fill out a Saint Name form.

St. Matthew - Family Of FaithFamily Of Faith
- Students in our Family of Faith program will start confirmation preparations in 7th grade.
- Confirmation prep is a two year process that ends with Students being confirmed in the spring of their 8th grade year.
- Our Confirmation program is called CHOSEN. It has a total of 24 lessons. In 7th grade, students are to complete the first 12 lessons.
- 8th graders in their 2nd year of preparations must complete the final 12 lessons of the CHOSEN program as well as attending our Connect nights.
- Students in 8th grade are required to attened our Confirmation Retreat.

- Both students in either 7th or 8th grade must also attened the monthly Family of Faith gatherings run by our Religious Education Coordinator, Ashley Allwein.

Connect night dates are Sunday evenings in the church sanctuary from 6:00pm-7:30pm
- October 16th, 2022 - Worship and Prayer Night
- November 13th, 2022 - Theology of the Body
- December 2-4th Confirmation Retreat @Damascus mission campus *Required*
- January 29th, 2023 - Saint Trivia Night
- February 19th, 2023- Gifts of the Holy Spirit
- April 16th, 2023 - Mission and Evangelization Night
- May 7th 2023 - You're not done! - Giving God your "Yes!"
- Confirmation Rehearsal - May 11, 2023 @6:00pm -7:00pm (This will take place in the CHURCH)
- CONFIRMATION MASS - May 12, 2023 @7:00pm (Please be here no later than 6:30pm)

When Do We Celebrate Confirmation at St. Matthew?
Most parishes offer Confirmation to parishioners in their early teenage years. At Saint Matthew, we prepare students for two years, usually beginning in seventh grade, to receive Confirmation at the end of their eighth grade year.
Confirmation Mass typically happens in the springtime and is normally celebrated by the Bishop of the diocese of Columbus, Most Reverend Earl K. Fernandes. -
