Athletic Association

The Athletic Association provides organization and administrative support for all of the St. Matthew athletic programs offered through the Diocesan Recreation Association and encourages youth to participate in a variety of sports activities. Volunteers serve as coaches and assistant coaches for our athletic programs, which typically begin at the fourth grade level.

What athletic programs does St. Matthew offer?

Our athletic program offers many volunteer opportunities, including serving as sports commissioners, coaches, timekeepers, linesmen, and concession workers. In order to raise money to offset operating costs, the St. Matthew Athletic Association sells Market Day items and administers the Sports Bucks program. The Athletic Association partners with local restaurants like City Barbecue and Chipotle for special fundraising events where a portion of purchases are donated back to St. Matthew. Spirit Wear is another fundraising opportunity and provides a variety of options to support our school in style!

What forms are necessary to register my child for a sport at St. Matthew?

The St. Matthew Athletic Association (SMAA) is very excited that we have partnered with TeamSnap, an online application that will enable parents to complete, register, acknowledge athletic forms and pay fees electronically.  To view what registrations are currently open, visit our Sports Registration page.  If you have a child or children that will participate in athletics, you will be required to complete the registration process online for them.  Registering your first child will take 5-10 minutes.  Registering additional children will take 2-3 minutes each.  Information is stored from season-to season, year-to-year and also shared within families eliminating the need to enter the same info more than once.  Your only annual requirement will be logging in to verify the existing information for your child by re-signing each form.  If you have any questions or experience any issues during registration, please direct all support requests to Jim Cox at

The forms below are signed electronically during the registration process and are not needed in paper form unless you are from outside the Parish.
