| Background: |
| |
At St. Matthew Parish, we have
always sought to prepare people for the sac aments. This
preparation has taken many forms over the years. Presently,
the only ministry in this category is Pre-Cana.
We hope to develop other opportunities to serve in the
future. |
| Responsibilities: |
| |
Pre-Cana is responsible for: Recruitment
of facilitators; training and preparation of the facilitators;
Pre-Cana preparation of the soon to be wed couple; scheduling
and hosting of sessions as required; and maintaining procedural
documentation relating to this ministry. |
| Commitment: |
| |
The length of service for this
ministry is typically two years. The parish reimburses
volunteers in this ministry for all workshop expenses,
baby-sitting expenses, and costs of materials. No dues
are required for this ministry.
