of our parish a sanctuary to retreat from the routines
of everyday life, allowing us to concentrate on prayer,
intense spiritual reflection, and to encounter the Lord.

Two masses, morning and night
prayers, Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Exposition of
the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction, Confession, and
5-6 conferences lead by the retreat master (usually a
priest from St. Matthew). Silence is encouraged. Private
conferences with a priest are also available.
Accommodations
include individual retreat rooms, with a double bed
or single bed. All the bedrooms are furnished with a
sink,
mirror, linens and towels, blankets,
drinking glass, and bible. The guests share restrooms and showers conveniently
located near their rooms. The Center is handicap accessible.

| Background: |
| |
St. Therese's Retreat Center
of the Diocese of Columbus is rich in history and tradition.
The Retreat Center has played a spiritual part in that
heritage.
Begun over seventy years ago in 1931, by Bishop
James J. Hartley, the Center
has been a "Quiet place where people may come and rest for a while," a
place to slow down and be refreshed, a place of peace. It's greatest charm
is its simplicity.
In fulfilling St. Therese's Retreat Center's mission
of responding to the needs
of the people of God, the Center offers hospitality for both men and women’s
Jesuit-style retreats.
The campus includes a beautiful stone chapel modeled
after small European churches, a place filled with the presence of God.
Well maintained grounds
offer guests
a quiet space to walk, explore, and appreciate the outdoors. There are
also outdoor Stations of the Cross and a Grotto of Our
Lady of Lourdes. |
