What is Camp KRIC?
Camp KRIC (Kids Rooted in Christ) is St. Matthew’s week long camp that offers youth the opportunity to grow in their faith in the midst of the life-giving opportunity. Camp activities include: service projects, prayer, small group discussions, community building, trips to Cedar Point and Gahanna Lanes, laser tag, family Mass and dessert social.
Who can attend?
Camp KRIC is open to youth entering grades 7th thru 9th

Sunday, July 9th: 5:00 p.m. Kick Off
Monday, July 10th: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 8:30 Mass; Community Building; Games 2 U Activities
Tuesday, July 11th: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 8:30 Mass; Service Projects; Bowling
Wednesday July 12th: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 8:30 Mass; Community Building; Games and Activities with Children from St. Stephen’s Community House; Reconciliation
Thursday, July 13th: 8 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Trip to Cedar Point
Friday July 14th: 2:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Wrap-Up, Family Mass and Dessert Social
How do Campers apply?
The camper application period is closed.
Cost: $145 per camper
Checks payable to St. Matthew Youth Ministry
Fee includes ticket/bus transportation to Cedar Point, admission to Gahanna Lanes, and a camp t-shirt. Partial or full scholarships are available. Call Travis Burtch (532-0622) for information.

How can I be a counselor?
The Counselor application period has closed.
Counselors must attend training and all camp days. If you are unable to attend training and/or specific camp days, you are welcome to serve as a helper. Counselors are to adhere to the code of behavior (on application). There are a maximum number of counselor positions determined by the number of camper applications. Applying does not assure a position. Counselors are selected based on the application process as well as previous Camp KRIC experience and leadership/involvement in parish youth ministry.
