SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD
Purpose:
The St. Matthew School Advisory Board exists to give the
Catholic lay community a voice in the education decision-making
and to guide Catholic educators in providing academic and
religious programs for our students. The board members are
advisors to the pastor and principal, with the principal
overseeing all board activities. Our mission is to enhance
student learning in an environment that evokes the Catholic
principles of love, respect, honesty, integrity and service to
others.
Activities:
The Board’s activities may include, but are not limited to:
identifying needs; long-range strategic planning; setting
tuition rates, receiving and reviewing monthly financial reports
of the school’s income and expenditures; dialoguing with parish
council regarding subsidy; supplementary fundraising; public
relations; and promoting Catholic education within the
community.
